Held at The Crane Bay Event Center in downtown Indianapolis, this beautiful vow renewal combined elegance, creativity, and cultural charm, bringing a sense of wonder to each of the 165 guests. The evening was filled with warmth, laughter, and endless entertainment—a true reflection of the couple’s love and joy.
Setting the Scene: Cocktail Hour Delights
The evening kicked off with a lively cocktail hour that set the tone for the rest of the celebration. Guests enjoyed a full bar while a talented aerialist poured champagne for guests, bringing an element of surprise and whimsy to the celebration. As a jazz band played soulful tunes, a slideshow of the couple’s life together added an emotional touch, honoring their shared memories and the journey they’ve taken as a couple.
Guests also enjoyed a selection of hors d’oeuvres crafted by the culinary experts at Crystal that offered something for every palate. The Crane Bay’s unique industrial features, such as the historic cranes suspended from the ceiling, provided a creative way to serve appetizers. The cranes held a beautiful “shot chandelier” with Sushi Shooters—a captivating display featuring Rice, Ahi Tuna, Cucumber, Pickled Ginger, and Wasabi Aioli, creating a delightful sushi experience from above. The appetizer wall added an interactive twist, allowing guests to choose from Caprese Skewers, Fruit and Cheese Kabobs, and Marinated Shrimp with Asian Slaw.
For added fun, guests had the opportunity to step into a unique photo op and pose as if they were on the cover of Vogue Magazine—a creative touch that made the experience even more memorable.
A Stunning Entrance: Revealing the Vow Renewal and Dinner Space
As the cocktail hour came to an end, the drapes opened in dramatic fashion with rolling fog, revealing the main event space for the vow renewal and dinner. The Crane Bay, with its industrial elegance, became a beautifully intimate setting, enhanced by the soft glow of candles and the ambiance created by more aerial performers. Guests found their seats at round tables draped in deep purple linens with black Chiavari chairs, lending a modern touch of sophistication. Strikingly tall floral centerpieces of white blooms graced each table, creating an elegant contrast against the rich table linens and setting the stage for the couple’s special evening.
Vows and Celebrations: Heartfelt Performances and Family Speeches
Once guests were seated, the evening unfolded with heartfelt tributes. A specialty dance performance delighted everyone, showcasing the couple’s strong connections with those around them. The couple’s daughter performed a solo dance, adding a touching personal moment to the evening. Family members shared their heartfelt memories and well wishes through speeches, underscoring the importance of love and family in the couple’s life together.
The couple then took center stage to renew their vows, a moment filled with love and emotion. After exchanging vows, they moved to cut their three-tiered cake, which featured the silhouette of the New York City skyline and was topped with a beautiful “We Still Do” cake topper—a symbolic nod to their enduring love. The centerpiece of the room, a wow-worthy LED dance floor, glowed, creating an inviting space for their couple’s dance, which was the perfect start to a night full of celebration.
A Dinner Feast to Remember
Following the vow renewal, the dinner buffet opened, offering a feast inspired by flavors from around the world. The buffet included traditional dishes such as Tandoori Chicken and Goat Curry, along with comforting classics like Garlic Naan, Veg Dum Biryani, Paneer Butter Masala, and Chicken Dum Biryani. Accompaniments included Raita, Rice, Yogurt, and fresh salads, allowing guests to enjoy a range of flavors. This menu was thoughtfully chosen to reflect the couple’s love for their culture and bring a sense of familiarity and warmth to their guests.
Dessert offered a selection of indulgent options beyond the cake, including Tiramisu Shooters, Mudslide Brownie Trifle Shooters, Mini Creme Brulee with Mixed Berries, and Fig Puffs. These bite-sized sweets allowed guests to sample a variety of flavors, ending the dinner on a high note.
Dancing the Night Away
After dinner, the celebration continued on the dance floor, where guests danced late into the night on the glowing LED floor. The atmosphere was electric, with music keeping the energy high and the floor packed until the event’s close at 12:30 AM. The combination of heartfelt moments, incredible entertainment, and elegant decor made the evening a truly unforgettable experience for all in attendance.
